Released January, 2009
The Pros:Sturdy wire with stable connections. Sound is very clear and detail, nice high fidelity. Scaled to handle the power from higher-end systems.
The Cons:Wire coming out of both sides is a bit annoying. Bass is a little weak, much better representation in other headphones.

These earpads are generously padded for comfortable long period use. Contained inside them are large 40mm drivers with CCAW voice coils providing high-fidelity sound with a frequency response of 10-25,000 Hz, and at a reasonable price. The adjustable cushioned headband helps provide a comfortable fit. Each earpiece can fold 90 degrees horzontally and 180 degrees vertically. The y-type cord is only 0.5m (1.6ft) to reduce tangles, and comes with a 1.0m (3 ft) extension if more length is required. The ATH-SQ5A is only availble in black.
