Philips SHS5200/27
$16.00
Released May, 2007
The Pros:The bass bear vents work as advertised--bass performance is well above average for this price range. Nylon wound cord feels durable while the pull relief system further protects from minor tugs. Fairly comfortable for short to moderate periods of use.
The Cons:Don't feel as comfortable over longer periods of use as they tend to squish your ears. Behind-the-head design rules out airline or in-bed use. The plug is the weakest link in terms of durability as it is damaged very easily.
The Philips SHS5200/27 are basic neckband headphones with many features designed for comfort and durability. The special shape and materials used for the ear cushions promise a perfect fit and maximum comfort, while the headphones were designed around the area of a person's ear for better enjoyment over longer periods of time.

The ergonomic shape also enhances bass performance by reducing audio leakage, while bass beat vents allow air movement for an even better sound with a deep rich bass. The 24k gold-plated plug ensures a reliable connection for better quality audio. In addition, the Pull Relief system reduces cable strain due to repeated bending and prolongs the life of the cable connection. The 1.5m cord is covered in a long-lasting textile that resists tangling, and is only connected to one side of the headphones, considerably reducing the risk of tangling and simplifying winding up for storage. These headphones also include a special reflective material on the neckband for better visibility and safety in the dark. Available in one style only.
