Sennheiser CX300-B MK II
$79.95
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Included ear tips provide a full, comfortable seal - once the right size is determined, many users can't even feel them. Low and high frequencies are well represented - bass is full and clear while treble range is crisp and without tinny overtones. Excellent overall quality at the price point - durability and performance or on-par or superior to competitors from Apple, Sony and Altec Lansing.
The Cons:Mid-range frequencies may become muddled/unclear - users may need to perform additional EQing within their media player (if possible). Included carrying bag provides little to no protection - may also lead to increased cable tangling if not stored carefully. Asymmetrical cable design is fairly awkward - makes winding/unwinding headphones a tedious, difficult process.
Sennheiser CX300B MK II Bass Earbuds feature an asymmetrical cable design and are modeled to fold flat for easy storage and transport. They aim to combine clarity of sound and comfort, via on-ear design and optimized bass reactivity.
